Food Bioactives Research Program of Dalhousie University (dal.ca/fbrp) is initiating a new research project on developing and assessing plant food-derived natural health products.The project is sponsored by an internationally-recognized natural products company in Europe. In general, the interdisciplinary research activities include optimization of extraction and isolation of a group of phytochemicals from a plant-based food, analytical chemistry, biochemical and cell-based assays, and product development and assessment. Opportunity exists for close interactions and collaborative research activities with the industry partner.
