This course is designed to prepare participants for Au Pair opportunities in Germany by combining German language training with essential childcare and household management skills.

Participants will receive German A1 language training to prepare them for the Goethe A1 examination, with emphasis on basic speaking, listening, reading, writing and everyday communication.

The course also introduces participants to the fundamentals of childcare, child safety, daily routines, basic first aid, nutrition, household management and responsible caregiving. Participants will also learn about the roles and responsibilities of an Au Pair, living with a host family, cultural adaptation and what to expect when caring for children in Germany.

Eligibility for Au Pair Opportunities in Germany

To qualify for the Au Pair program through this program, applicants should:

• Be female and between 18 and 26 years old
• Have at least a BECE qualification
• Have passed the Goethe A1 examination within the last 12 months

By the end of the course, participants should be well prepared for the Goethe A1 examination and equipped with the basic knowledge, skills and confidence required to pursue Au Pair opportunities in Germany.

Certificate of training will be awarded by Metis Educational Consult after completion.
